Big Bunny, in the flesh

Happy early Dr. Seuss's birthday! I hope you're all planning celebrations for tomorrow. Ourselves, we prefer to celebrate privately.

At school today (they don't go on Fridays) Ethan's having green eggs and ham for lunch. Also, he was to dress up as a character from a favorite book. Which I remembered last night at 6 p.m.

This is preschool, folks, and we're already doing last-minute projects. This does not bode well for our skillz when it comes to managing him in real school.

Anyway, we went through a few options and settled on...Big Bunny. A.k.a. Big Nutbrown Hare from Guess How Much I Love You.
I can't even remember when Big Bunny and Baby Bunny were that clean.

So out to the store we went, looking for materials. This is what I came up with:

Not too shabby. Although with a face and hair like that, he makes anything look good.

Soooooooooooo Cuuuuuuuuuuttttttteeee! He looks pretty proud of that. Now the trick will be to get him out of it. Oh how I miss that face and his sweet smile. Tell him Poppy said "Where did the 2 bunnies come from?"

If that's how you crank out last minute, forgotten projects, you're golden for elementary school.

He really is just the cutest thing. Which is good, because he's a hot mess :)

Your son is absolutely beautiful. What a heartbreaker! And the Bunny outfit definitely shows superior craftsmanship. Very impressive. Guess How Much I Love You is one of my favorite books too -- he has good taste as well as charm!

"Unknown" is Danielle, not just a nameless Internet Creature. I keep signing into the wrong account. Sigh.

Good job, Erin. Especially since you came up with such a cute costume at the last minute.

I am a nameless internet creature, who (thanks to Jules at pancakesandfrenchfries) has been "silently" reading your blog for like, 2 years. But I just had to say, your baby bunny is hilariously cute... And the ears!! (Bunny, not boy)

Dorothy—It's only fitting that bunny would put an end to your internet silence. Officially, welcome!
