Two of our officers were shot today. The elder of them is a year or two out from retirement. He's critical. The younger of the two will have a bullet forever lodged in his neck. His wife is pregnant.
I have so much to say, but I can't seem to say any of it.

I'm so sorry. I'll keep them & their families in my prayers...
Thanks for sharing. Prayers are heading out for them.
We will keep them in our prayers! I was lucky to meet Daniel in a current class I'm taking - quite an amazing and positive guy. It blew my mind when his seat was empty tonight and we were filled in on what happened.
God bless officers Hutchens and Clark and all those who serve! Our prayers are with the officers, their families and the entire WSPD force

Don't even know what to say...prayers and thoughts for them, their families and all of you!
I am sorry to hear that--those injured and their families are in my prayers.
I wouldn't have understood your post until I got to be good friends with a cop's wife over the last year. After knowing her and reading your stuff, I can say, "Now I get it."
I will be thinking of you, your hubby and those officers and their families.
"I have so much to say, but I can't seem to say any of it."
Ditto. what is going on?! This is happening way too much lately.
More thoughts and prayers being sent out your way for these officers.
I thought of you guys immediately when I heard the report. Really glad Noah wasn't involved, but so sad for the families that are. Our thougts are with you two and your police family.
Horrible news, I'm so sorry and sending thoughts and prayers.
How absolutely awful, and scary. I hope that they are able to recover.
Like everyone has already said prayers are being sent up for the officers and their families. Thanking God also that Noah is safe.

So glad Noah wasn't involved. I saw the story on your local news channel website and it looks like they said they are doing better. Will keep them in our prayers.

There aren't words for this. I agree.
I'll put them on the prayer list.
One thing I've realized since being an LEO wife, if something happens to one officer and his or her family, it happens to all of us. I'm so sorry for the tragedy and pray all will go as it should.
Thinking of Noah and the men and women of his agency.
My thoughts and prayers.
Again, there are no words. Just know we are thinking of and praying for the families and the LEO families.
I'm amazed, in the internet/social networking age, how often in the last year I've heard about officers being shot. Prayers for them and their families.
Oh dear, how horrifying. I am so so sorry for their families. And for you too. My thoughts and prayers go out.

I can't even imagine what either one of you faces each day. I haven't even met Noah yet, but I'm already impressed.
